Explorers
Developed specifically for children entering TK and Kindergarten, Tocaloma’s Explorer Program groups of 10 campers are co-ed with 2 outgoing, energetic and compassionate staff. Together, they spend the summer making new friends, trying new activities and exploring new adventures!
With an emphasis on skills development, social skills and fun with friends, Tocaloma’s qualified staff is trained in setting up developmentally appropriate activities, utilizing encouragement and praise as well as facilitating friendships. Groups participate in activities ranging from music and drama to arts & crafts and beginning sports.
An element unique to Explorer Program is the daily swim lesson (yes, actual swim lessons). Taught by our experienced and enthusiastic swim instructors, Tocaloma’s swim program begins with an individual evaluation and appropriate placement according to skill level. Not only do swim lessons help campers develop confidence and skills in the water, they also allow for excellent supervision in the pool. After being placed in small groups, lessons are taught at a pace comfortable for each individual camper. Whether a camper is putting their face in the water for the first time or finessing their stroke, Tocaloma maintains a commitment to creating a sense of possibility and success for each camper.
Come join us for a fantastic summer!
